Abstract

The article is devoted to the thermotechnical calculation of steam heaters-accumulators, widely used in hot water supply systems of industrial and municipal facilities. The research is based on a mathematical model designed to determine the main characteristics of the considered apparatuses. Using the proposed algorithm, heat engineering calculations have been carried out for six standard sizes of heaters of the VPE series produced by the Saratov Power Engineering Plant. The results of calculations are presented in graphical form, which provides visual perception for consumers and maintenance personnel. The study covers aspects of efficiency and steam flow control depending on various parameters such as saturated water vapor temperature and heated water temperature. The findings can serve as a basis for optimizing the design and operation of steam heaters, ensuring more energy efficient and sustainable operation of hot water systems. This paper contributes to the field of thermal and hot water heating engineering by providing new approaches and data for the design of modern and efficient heating systems.
